Day of Safety Employee Event

The Day of Safety is an event implemented to recognize the importance of working safely. It also allows employees to get to know each other better and foster a better work environment. On this day, fire extinguisher training is also provided by the City of Chardon Fire Department. Once fire extinguisher training is completed, fire trucks, police vehicles and ambulances are left at our headquarters in Chardon for employees to see up close and in person. The day ends with a raffle, where employees can win many safety-related items including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, walkie talkies and flashlights.

Our annual safety day inspection is another safety-related event. This annual inspection was implemented by our parent company in Japan due in part to an incident that occurred in the early 2000s. During the safety day inspection, employees are paired together and asked to inspect a given location at all of our facilities to either verify that they are in safe working order or  note any improvements which should be made to make it safer.
