6,000 hours of Neutral Salt Spray (ISO 9227) without Red Rust!

GEOMET® is mostly used for corrosion protection for up to 2,000 hours of Neutral Salt Spray (ISO9227) at low thickness (less than 15 µm). But our Waterbased Zinc Flake technology enables much higher performance.

To meet the challenging specifications of a major player in the Oil and gas industry (5,040 hours of NSS resistance), we designed and evaluated a tailor-made system:

• GEOMET® 321 (20 µm) + PLUS® M (2 µm).

• Result: no trace of red rust after 5,040 hours.

Even better, the parts were tested for an additional 1,000 hours, reaching 6,000 hours without rusting.
